Your hosts, Frank and Karen Machado.

Established in 1989.

Frank & Karen Machado, after owning the Berry Farm, Pizza Farm, Red Robin Inn & Machado’s Bar & Grill In the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s in the Bay Area City of Santa Clara, sold out to move & kick back in on small ranch in Stevinson Ca., near Frank’s home town Hilmar.

Frank missed the comraderie of being around people got restless & very bored. A friend realtor showed Frank & Karen this old closed restaurant shack in the little town of Delhi. Frank considered buying it for a breakfast cafe only; Karen, with more decorative ambitions, said she thought it would be better as fine bay area-style fine dining. Boy, did we get laughed at!

We opened on December 31, 1989. From that day for about 3 years you only could get in with reservations. It was very popular with the officers of Castle Air Force base in Atwater. In 1992 The airbase closed & the population dwindled. From then until now 22 years later, most weekends you still at times get turned away without reservations.
